ABOUT MY PRACTICE

Therapy Approaches

Every person is unique. A therapy treatment plan will depend on your individual needs, which we explore through a thorough initial assessment at the beginning of our work together. This will help us to develop a shared understanding of your circumstances and how the difficulties you are experiencing might have arisen, as well as what might be keeping them going right now. This is called a ‘formulation’ and is the foundation of good treatment planning. I draw on a number of evidence-based models and approaches in therapy to ensure that you receive individualised and holistic support.

The main models and therapy types that I use in my practice are:

- Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

- Acceptance & Committment Therapy (ACT)

- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

- Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) including Attachment-Informed work

- Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT)

Who I Can Work With

I work with adults (18+), individuals and/or couples, experiencing a range of emotional difficulties.

I can provide consultation and training to external organisations upon request.

No Wait List Policy

I believe that when someone reaches out for support, timely access to the right help is important. For this reason, I do not operate a waiting list. Because I do not keep a waiting list, therapy spaces are offered on a first-come, first-served basis when they open.

If I do not currently have a therapy space available, I will:

- Let you know promptly and transparently

- Offer signposting to trusted colleagues and services that may be a better fit right now

- Provide brief guidance on what type of support might be most suitable for your needs

- Occasionally offer a one-off consultation if that would be helpful while you explore other options
